N57 redlines[edit]

Some of those redline figures make no sense, at 1st I thought it meant manual vs auto transmission redlines, but the N57D30O1 and upwards are only available in autos AFAIK. So does the 'manual' mean when you manually change gear in an auto? If so, surely the redline would be higher, and not lower?

Also I have a 2010 330d with the N57D30O0 engine, the rev counter clearly shows the solid redline at 5000 RPM, however the 'governor' doesn't kick in until ~5400 RPM (uncomfortably higher than the redline IMO! lol).

Can we clarify all this? Markpd (talk) 23:23, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed it now, appears to have been an inadvertent error by MrsSnoozyTurtle on 10-8-21
I'm still not convinced that at least some of the redline figures are wrong, as are some of the power figures.
e.g there's a 540 Nm version of the N57D30O0 for one. Markpd (talk) 21:04, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
