Given their political views and the fact both brothers were living in the United States at the time of the 1912 Olympics should we really use a British flag for Tim Ahearne and Dan Ahearne.
Of course they represented Great Britain in 1908 and when their records were set, but they did so without their knowledge or approval.
Both men thought they would represent the Gaelic Athletic Association and were not yet naturalised in 1912, making it impossible to represent the United States in 1912.
Thank God they never had to see the wikipedia page with a British flag next to their names.

Yes. They represented the UK in 1908, the UK flag is the correct one. -- Jonel (Speak to me) 17:20, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
