General[edit]

@LIUCMaelis7, LIUC7carolina, LIUC7alberto, LIUC7Francesca7, and LIUC7michelle05: We have to take care, that we dont link to to many Wikipedia pages. I think we should only do it when the name or place is mentioned for the first time and remove the others in our respective paragraphs. --LIUC.FA (talk) 22:05, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would leave the mention of the architects in the section 'architects'and remove the rest. Same for location. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 10:52, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I agree. LIUC7carolina (talk) 17:53, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
-describe what the building is in the leading summery.
-check where duplicating content is. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 15:06, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@LIUC7michelle05, @LIUC.FA, @LIUCMaelis7, @LIUCFrancesca7 and @LIUC7alberto: Reading the content of "Building", I think we should create a link on Stavkirken. Do you agree? LIUC7carolina (talk) 17:20, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should first think about a well structured introduction part. The Stavkirken reference could go there in my opinion. As it is the major inspiration of the building. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 09:23, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@LIUCMaelis7, LIUC7carolina, LIUC7Francesca7, and LIUC.FA: the part 'materials' and 'style of the building' need to be improved. I suggest we work on that. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 11:03, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good evening everybody, I'm writing here to inform you I uploaded some content on the "Architects and designers" section, but I can't add the reference in the way I learned. Can somebody help me to do that? Thank you. links https://www.italian-architects.com/it/map-studio-venice/team http://www.map-studio.it/studio/profile/

Use of Talk page[edit]

@LIUCMaelis7, LIUC.FA, LIUC7carolina, LIUC7alberto, LIUC7Francesca7, and LIUC7michelle05: Note the guidelines on Talk page use, including structuring the discusions and signing all posts:Help:Talk_pages. It looks like a section is needed here in Talk on sources (not a subsection, nor a vague 'discusion thread' heading.Talk is visible to other editors, so it needs to be clear who is saying what. To sign posts use the 1 click option below the editor space, or simply add the 4 '~' symbols manually. You can edit Talk pages to correct your content. Limelightangel (talk) 15:46, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@LIUCMaelis7, LIUC.FA, LIUC7carolina, LIUC7alberto, LIUC7Francesca7, and LIUC7michelle05: I suggest you review the Talk page and correct errors in it's use prior to submission. These include unsigned posts and inappropriate style.Limelightangel (talk) 15:18, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

  • If there is an English version of an article, as in this case, cite the English article. Use the Cite Web template to include the publisher - in this case Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A.. These are not always clear on web sources and need to be looked for e.g. at bottom of page or, as in this case, under 'Legal'. The missing publisher has been added to the Italian reference, the English source added and the grammar error ('italian') corrected. Limelightangel (talk) 17:17, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • fix the referencing error related to the 'refname' use. Limelightangel (talk) 16:36, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Corrected the referencing error and got rid of the Italian version of the reference LIUC.FA (talk) 15:23, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you are reusing a source multiple times, please use the "reuse" function to avoid doubeling of the references --LIUC.FA (talk) 09:15, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Structure[edit]

Location[edit]

It is inappropriate to include the location under 'Architectural Style'. It belongs in the lead summary or section on Location. Limelightangel (talk) 15:34, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

moved the location into the lead summary LIUC.FA (talk) 15:30, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lead Section[edit]

Pages do not have a section header for 'Description'. It needs to have a summary or 'lead section', to be created first, not least to avoid duplication of facts and links later in the article. The summary introduction or 'lead section' is explained at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section Limelightangel (talk) 16:41, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

The text on what the building was modelled on relates to design/creation, rather than 'history' of the current structure. Limelightangel (talk) 16:44, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

done User:LIUC7alberto (talk) 00:11, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I rewrote the section and focused the attention to the project that included the creation of the Asplund Pavilion. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 23:09, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Architects[edit]

@LIUC7michelle05: Are you just covering the architects that build the Padiglione Asplund or are you also covering "Gunnar Asplund? Otherwise Ill cover it in my part about the original "Chapel in the woods" LIUC.FA (talk) 16:28, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

yes, I will do that part, for both the architects. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 15:31, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@LIUC7michelle05:The part of the architects lacks a source. Can you relay where you got the information from? LIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 17:20, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

unfortunately it wasn't me that added that part so I don't know where the information come from . @LIUC7carolina added that part, she probably can put reference of the source. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 12:01, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Materials[edit]

The part about materials comes from a pdf that I am not able to add as reference. How can we solve this issue ? LIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 15:31, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The issue has been successfully resolved using the Help pages provided by Wikipedia LIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 10:05, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

the section 'materials' was a mess, we should all work on it and put the correct relevant informations. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 10:58, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Art Collection[edit]

Individual preparation of topics[edit]

LIUC.FA (talk) 18:04, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest to pay attention on the description of the pavilion, avoid the repetition of the informatins, and also keep in mind that this is 1 out of the 11 structures of the project. (this for each sector we wil be working with) LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 10:55, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Review 4/12/23[edit]

  • the page needs the addition of See Also, External links and Categories. See:
  1. Help:Categories
  2. Wikipedia:External_links
  3. Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Layout#"See_also"_section
  • The three sections were added and links were found in relation to the page's topic LIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 15:39, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • missed links out: 'Venice'
  • structure: ALPI is used in the lead section but only explained later; better to include ALPI just under Building section.
  • duplicate content: 'is inspired by the Scandinavian wooden buildings, Stavkirken,'; 'The architecture of the Asplund Pavilion was inspired by Stavkirken, a medieval wooden Christian church building from Scandinavia.'; 'built by ALPI' is in 3 places; 'Xilo 2.0' in 2 places; 'approximately 11 meters long and 8 meters high'; 'approximately 11 meters in length and 8 meters in height'; 'was modelled after the Chapel in the Woods by Gunnar Aspund.'; 'inspiration from the 1920 chapel in the woods designed by the renowned architect Guannar Asplund'; 'built by architect Gunnar Asplund.' (at least four times); etc.
  • style: 'this important project'; 'establishes a gentle and intimate atmosphere.'; 'distinguished by remarkable originality and visual impact.'; 'the captivating forms and colors of the natural world';
  • inconsistencies: ALPI, Alpi
    • The inconsistencies found in the text were appropriately correctedLIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 20:21, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • images need better formating and structure to reduce large empty spaces, align more precisely with adjacent text areas, and to remove the overlap with References section
    • I changed the formatting and moved the images with adjacent text areas.LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 23:13, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • references: refs 1 & 2 are the same source in different languages: use the English source and use ref name to create multiple citations to a single reference;
    • I deleted the duplicated source and replaced the italian one with the enlgish version LIUC.FA (talk) 10:26, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ref. 9 has an author;

  • there is a lack of depth/breadth in content and excessive duplication

Limelightangel (talk) 13:47, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

the problem of duplication should be fixed and now we are working on the lack of depth, at the end the problem of duplication will be reviewed and fixed again.User: LIUC7alberto (talk) 17:27, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Questions and ideas[edit]

Is it a good idea to talk about the other chapels in a sub-paragraph of Vatican Chapels? User: LIUC7alberto (talk) 11:30, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

is it a good idea to talk about the art collection inside more in details since we have neither an half of the exibition? User: LIUC7alberto (talk) 11:40, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems[edit]

I've left a note on the the facilitator's talk page that explains them in more detail. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 19:24, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@LIUCMaelis7, LIUC.FA, LIUC7carolina, LIUC7alberto, LIUC7Francesca7, and LIUC7michelle05: You need to review the editor's feedback at User talk:Limelightangel, understand the issues and resolve them immediately by removing or rewriting the relevant plagiarized sections. When this has been completed I suggest you notify User talk:Red-tailed hawk and request the removal of the copyright infringement tags. Limelightangel (talk) 20:17, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for pointing out this issue. We will review your feedback thoroughly and our group will resolve the issue as fast and as soon as possible. LIUC.FA (talk) 21:06, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Review 11/12/23[edit]

  • External links need clarity and better format
    • I put the external links in a different format--LIUC.FA (talk) 16:56, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • image captions need location
  • list of artworks is duplicated at bottom and needs a clearer table title
  • Middle Ages is a poor See Also link; better options exist, including to pages on similar art
    • A more precise external link was added, referring to the type of structure the building resembles LIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 17:02, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • referencing: some missing and inconsistent details (missing authors, missing publication dates, etc.) and no indication they are all in a non-English language e.g. ref. 3 has an obvious author and publication date
    • Modified the references and added publishing dates and authors names--LIUC.FA (talk) 09:21, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • obvious links in have not been developed e.g. from Skogskyrkogården
    • Link is now added in the leadsection --LIUC.FA (talk) 09:21, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@LIUCMaelis7, LIUC.FA, LIUC7carolina, LIUC7alberto, LIUC7Francesca7, and LIUC7michelle05: the comment has not been understood: it refers to creating links IN to the draft page from relevant erxisting pages. Limelightangel (talk) 15:14, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Limelightangel: Another user/group had the issue that their links got deleted, because according to the other editor that is against the Wikipedia rules when it is till a draft page (See comment on the linked talkpage). That was the reason we were waiting until the page is approved until we do the link ins from other pages. LIUC.FA (talk) 15:41, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • the Swedish name for Woodland cemetry could be correctly included in the lead section
    • I included the Swedish name for the woodland cemetery and the English translation--LIUC.FA (talk) 09:24, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • style: 'ambitious pavilion'; etc.
  • clarity: it could be cleaerer sooner, perhaps in the lead section, that the topic is one of 11 (?) chapels and part of the Vatican chapels project, and whether the 11 architects listed worked on it or on different projects
    • I specified in the lead section that the Asplund Pavilion is the first of the eleven pavilions of the project 'Vatican Chapels'. In the section 'history', I put informations about the project, specifying who in particular worked on the Asplund Pavilion. I distinguished the architects of the Asplund Pavilion, and also the supplier company on the top part. Wrote then about the rest in the parts below.LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 18:49, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Since, in my opinion, the text was still not clear, I managed another way of exposing the introducing part of the lead section, because it was ambiguous. I also add other general info about the Pavilion, as who is the company who built it. LIUC7carolina (talk) 18:40, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • the section on Vatican Chapels is just flat text, no images and few sources
    • we've asked to a few photographers if we could use their pictures, as no pictures are present in wikipedia commons. We are waiting for their answers. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 15:47, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Venice Architecture Biennale link incorrectly located
    • Removed the Venice Architecture Biennale link because it is already linked in the History section--LIUC.FA (talk) 09:27, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • style: 'therefore'; 'They decided then'; 'today' (several times); etc.
  • repetition: 'originally designed by Gunnar Asplund' - three places
  • inconsistency: ALPI, Alpi - which is it, and why?
    • I tried to make it clear in the 'history' part what Alpi is, and should now be clear. There are some websites refferring to it as 'ALPI', and others as 'Alpi'. I left it as 'Alpi' as the letters don't stand for something in particular but it is the surname of the CEO of the company. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 19:01, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Review 14/12/23[edit]

  • c. 40 edits made
  • the name needs an Italian translation in the lead section
    • Added the Italian translation for the Asplund Pavilion--LIUC.FA (talk) 16:57, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • external links should be before references
    • The external links section has been properly placed in the correct area LIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 16:51, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • the table of the other chapels has no name for each
    • I am working on it, I've found some more material I shared with the team in order to find the names of the other chapels. LIUC7michelle05 (talk) 23:21, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • measurements can be converted in to imperial using the relevant tag
    • All measurements were converted showing units in both imperial and metric system LIUC7Francesca7 (talk) 17:45, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
