I'll take this one, will post review as soon as possible. Kosack (talk) 13:12, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Inital review

Lead[edit]

  • WP:OVERLINK discourages linking things like nations that have little relevance to the article. I would say Germany in the opening sentence is a prime example of that.
  • won one Junior Grand Slam singles title at the 2014 Australian Open, if that's his only junior title  perhaps a junior Grand Slam would be more appropriate? It also avoids it sounding like there was more than one title at the Australian Open.

Early life[edit]

  • I enjoy it still, I enjoyed it back then. So, yeah – that’s how I started playing, are these last two sentences of the quote necessary? They don't seem to add any further and the last is basically repeating the opening sentence of the paragraph.
    • I removed the second part. I like ending it with the first part rather than the previous part. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 05:09, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • as a kid, a little informal. As a child perhaps?

2016[edit]

  • Unlink Marin Čilić to avoid a repeat link, already linked in previous section.
  • coming back 0–3 down in the third set, should that be " back from 0-3 down"?
  • he then defeated No. 10 Thiem in the first round of the 2016 China Open for the first time in four tries this year to become the first teenager to record three consecutive victories against top ten opponents, this sentence is a bit confusing I think. Perhaps split into two? "In doing so, he became the first teenager..." for example?

2017[edit]

  • A few repeat links here, Nadal, Wawrinka, Kyrgios, Djokovic, Federer, Cilic and Becker.
  • He defeated Novak Djokovic in the final to becoming > to become
  • he also cracked the top 10, cracked slightly journalistic perhaps? Entered would maybe be more appropriate.

2019[edit]

  • Raonic repeat linked here.

Personal life[edit]

Career statistics[edit]

  • I know there is a main article linked to here but is there a general ref that could be included here to support the table?

References[edit]

  • Some of these refs appear to be repeated (1 and 4, 2 and 3). Merge into single citations and use the ref name to repeat rather than reposting them.
  • Refs 2 and 3 need accessdates.
  • I must say I'm surprised at the amount of information missing from the refs. Very few have publication dates or authors listed, is there a reason?
    • I added all of the dates, and some of the authors. Most of the sources (in particular, all of the ATP Tour refs) don't have specific authors. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 07:09, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
      • That's fine, I noticed one or two authors missing so just assumed there would be a few more. If they don't have them there's nothing you can do. Kosack (talk) 20:07, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A big article, well detailed and very well written. Not much I can really find to concern me. Placed on hold for now. Kosack (talk) 14:20, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review, Kosack! I addressed everything above and also updated the 2019 sections. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 07:20, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Follow up[edit]

  • In the first paragraph of the 2016 section, it states his victory over Cilic was the highest ranked opponent he had ever defeated. However, in the final paragraph of 2015 it says he defeated no. 1 Djokovic at the Boodles Challenge exhibition?

@Sportsfan77777: I think that's it from me. One final issue above and I'm happy to approve this. Kosack (talk) 20:25, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Kosack: Yay! I answered above. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 21:16, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to promote this. Well written, comprehensive and suitably sourced. Scores a little high on the copyvio detector but there are several sizeable quotes that account for the majority of this. Promoting. Kosack (talk) 06:17, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
