the winner of the 400m at the 1931 NCAA was Vic Williams of Southern California in 48.0. Alex Wilson (Notre Dame) won the NCAA 400m at Chicago, IL on 11 June 1932, running 48.0 in the final he beat Ivan Fuqua of Indiana and Bob Arnold of Eastern Michigan.
