Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the debate was page moved to Al Snow. Eugène van der Pijll 16:47, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Allen Sarven → Al Snow – Sarven has wrestled as "Al Snow" for over a decade. "Al Snow" returns 242,000 Google search results; "Allen Sarven" just 2,070. This will enable more direct linking. McPhail 23:50, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak oppose, appreciate the rationale and McPhail's obvious expertise here but convention appears to be that a wrestler's real name should be the main title, especially if that's already the case. Linking isn't a problem with "Al Snow" (and other ring names) redirecting straight to "Allen Sarven". Deizio talk 23:56, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as per WP:NAME. --JFred 05:44, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support It was his prima ring name.(Halbared 06:38, 20 June 2006 (UTC))[reply]
  • Support He is always going to be referred to on TV and wrestling media as Al Snow. His semi-retired state also makes it highly unlikely he will be changing names.--Darren Jowalsen 14:40, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support We at WP:PW should stick to kayfabe whenever we can - fewer conflicts with WP:NC. kelvSYC 17:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose There seems to be too much precedent for naming wrestlers' pages after the wrestler's real name. "Sylvester Ritter" is JYD's page, Mark Calaway is Undertaker's page, Booker Huffman is Booker T's page, etc. Davemcarlson 22:50, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

Well, Booker T is there because it would require "(wrestler)" if at Booker T (which is currently a DAB page), and Mark Calaway to Undertaker is another current WP:RM. Tromboneguy0186 03:31, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And according to WP:NAME, JYD should be at Junkyard Dog. There is also a proposal to move the Undertaker to that name. --Dubhagan 15:54, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

JYD is also being proposed for a page name move. --Dubhagan 16:01, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tag champ[edit]

Why in his accomplishments he has 2 world tag team titles with Hardcore Holly? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justakija (talkcontribs) 10:53, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Girlfriend or wife?[edit]

Is Cynthia Lynch his girlfriend or wife? At the top of this artcle it says they are married but in his career it says she is his girlfriend. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.142.4.156 (talk) 17:17, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Religion[edit]

I noticed that Al Snow is listed under Jewish American athletes. Just for the record, Al is not Jewish.

Orphaned references in Al Snow[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Al Snow's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 21:29, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Al Snow's Movie[edit]

I looked at IMDB.com and noticed that it says the DVD was released on January 1, 2013. Do we still need the wrap up date of filming or can we use the DVD release date 50.138.212.177 (talk) 05:30, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
