History[2][edit]

As a designee of the copyright holder for the contents in article Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA Inc., we're are trying to transfer the association's history onto the Wikipedia public domain. Most of the contents on this article have been used by local chapters to reflect the general objectives of the association, and some may have used the same verbiage on their local chapter websites-- we do permit this but will work with them to remove the contents if it is conflicting with Wikipedia copyright rules. Without completely removing the contents on our native website, how do you recommend I publish it on Wikipedia public domain without any violations?

Hi. The problem is that we can't host content if it seems to be a copyright infringement of another source. If you are the copyright holder, or have permission to release the text to be used on Wikipedia, you need to send an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org from an email address associated with the source website (http://akisan.org/about-us/) explicitly stating that you release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license. You should take care to read the terms of the license; it is irrevocable and allows anyone to use the text freely as long as they attribute the source. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information. – Toon 18:39, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
An email has been sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org as instructed. Thanks. emperorubby —Preceding undated comment added 21:18, 27 March 2010 (UTC).[reply]
