Akaike Station (Nagoya) → Akaike Station (Aichi) – This station is the only station of Nagoya Municipal Subway that not located in Nagoya City. Move to ~~Akaike Station (Nagoya Municipal Subway)~~ Akaike Station (Nagoya Railroad) instead, given the precedent with Leander (Capital MetroRail station); in that example, that station is the only Capital MetroRail station to not be located in Austin, Texas even by technicality. Support move to Akaike Station (Aichi), or better still Akaike station (Aichi) (lower case s) as done in Hong Kong and elsewhere. Although it's not binding in Japan, the logic behind the recent UK discussion applies: follow the name with the largest unambiguous location. Akaike station (Japan) would be insufficient here because of Akaike Station (Gifu), and (Nagoya) is inaccurate, so (Aichi) it is. Certes (talk) 11:37, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Disambiguated stations either have the city name after it or the line they are on, not the province or state. See Queens Park (London) station as an example or Wall Street (IRT Lexington Avenue Line) or Xinjiekou Station (Beijing). Gryffindor (talk) 21:15, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
UK station names generally follow National Rail usage, which is the city in London and a few other major cities but the county elsewhere. So Queens Park (London) but Newport (Essex) for Newport (Essex) railway station, etc. Certes (talk) 22:40, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Support: Standard policy for disambiguation is to use Prefecture > City > Ward. This station is in Aichi Prefecture, and is not even in the city of Nagoya, so the choice of "Nagoya" is totally incorrect. --DAJF (talk) 07:33, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
