Clean-up[edit]

This page seems to be more a dictionary definition than a dab. Therefore, I'm making it a dab, and have pasted the previos information here, for if anyone wants to/knows how to make this a Wiktionary definition.

  • an anatomical structure continuous with the Invertebrate trachea found in some insects which can be used to actively pump air throughout the body
  • an anatomical structure unique to the dinosaur and Bird anatomy#Respiratory system that allows unidirectional flow of air into the lungs and through the body

Air sac is an anatomical term with several meanings:

  • Pulmonary alveolus, informally known as an air sac, one of innumerable spherical outcroppings of the respiratory bronchioles in the mammalian lung, the secondary sites of gas exchange with the blood

Actually, only one entry meets the guidelines, so I've made this a redirect Boleyn2 (talk) 14:25, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Me too, Boleyn2! 10 months later! Please do not change this from a redirect unless you are writing an article "Air sac". It is not suitable as a dab (See Wikipedia:Disambiguation)) --Haruth (talk) 17:00, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
