Solipsism link[edit]

Hi Wikians. I am just wondering why the 'solipsim' link was added to this page. From what I can tell, solipsism, the idea in traditional Western philosophy, has nothing to do with acosmicism. Should it be kept or deleted? I think deleted. -User: Atomist

I agree with the above user. While I can understand where both views could be seen as similar, the claims made by each are actually quite different. Solipsism's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solipsism_ claim's about the inability of one to either gain or communicate information about the world's existence is not inherent within acosmism. Assuming the acosmism article is accurate, the suggestion that one can obtain knowledge of the Absolute is actually contrary to solipsism. I can see the relation that in both all that is known is mind, however I think the theories differ enough that the link should either be removed altogether or qualified in some respect as to not suggest that the theories are directly related. - User: KzooJosh

Spinoza[edit]

Māyā[edit]
