2023 Peshawar mosque bombing2023 Peshawar mosque attack – to be in line with previous similar attacks, such as 2015 Peshawar mosque attack and 2022 Peshawar mosque attack. The ⬡ Bestagon T/C 06:25, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - This attack is specifically a bombing, not involving any other type. Twa0726 (talk) 07:39, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Per Twa0726, the 2015 attack is a mass shooting, while the 2022 attack involves both shooting and suicide bombing. For attacks and terrorist incidents that only involve bombing, "bombing" is an appropriate title name.廣九直通車 (talk) 08:18, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: It was called 2023 Peshawar mosque attack but Jim Michael 2 changed it to its current name which is more appropriate as this was a lone bombing.

Oppose because this was a bombing only. When an attack has only one method, we specify it in the title. The 2013 Peshawar mosque attack, the 2015 Peshawar mosque attack & the 2022 Peshawar mosque attack each had multiple methods. Jim Michael 2 (talk) 09:46, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Same as Twa0726 and 廣九直通車. Thehistorianisaac (talk) 11:18, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose same as all above 103.208.69.219 (talk) 11:32, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose do to all of above That Prussian1872 (talk) 15:42, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Death toll revised to 84[edit]

As per multiple news sources [1] the death toll has been revised down to 84 due to some names being counted twice. Relevant edit may be made. WhereAreYouHouston182 (talk) 14:21, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: None of the other secondary sources I could find on the subject mention this revision. See [2], [3], [4]. Do you have any further sourcing on this? Actualcpscm (talk) 09:30, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The news articles you linked to are dated within a couple of days of the blast, when the toll revision was done on the 4th day. Also your references are international media outlets who only reported immediately following the blast and didn't bother updating their readers about the revision. Local and foreign news outlets who did report on it include: [5] [6] [7]. WhereAreYouHouston182 (talk) 12:53, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done Thanks to both of you! Actualcpscm (talk) 18:44, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone add this section below the "Reactions" section? Be sure to remove the extra '=', otherwise it would turn into a subsection. Thank you.

Response[edit]

On 20 June 2023, Sarbakaf Mohmand, one of the main perpetrator of the bombing, was killed in Afghanistan. He was one of the key member of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). According to the sources, his death was the result of infighting among the various faction of TTP.[1][2] The death of Sarbakaf Mohmand was confirmed by TTP spokesperson, Mohammad Khurasani, on Twitter.[3]
