Conflicting content[edit]

The lead states "ten people dead, including two children, and six others injured", The Victims section states, "Eleven people were killed during the attack". -- Otr500 (talk) 19:46, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ten people were killed by the perpetrator, who who was then shot dead by an armed civilian. So, the total death toll is 11. Gianluigi02 (talk) 21:04, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

unclear content[edit]

" The shooter then killed his uncle " - WHOSE uncle - this needs to be clarified - I know a lot of you are not native speakers of English and are doing your best translating Serbian/Serbo-Croat language news sites but please be careful. Thanks.50.111.25.27 (talk) 20:06, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Goran Đurišić, age 54 – an uncle of Borilović (the perpetrator) Gianluigi02 (talk) 21:04, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Should the victims names be listed in the article?[edit]

The names of the victims were initially listed in the article, but later removed by an editor who said that a consensus needs to be reached about the topic. I personally believe that the names of the victims should be said in this article. The article is about the shooting, and the victims are just as important to the shooting as the perpetrator was. I feel like the article would be biased if we only name the perpetrator and not the victims. I think we should say all of the names, or none of them - which would be confusing in my opinion. The shooter attained notoriety through his actions in instigating the attack. The victims were not noteworthy in life, and the circumstances of their deaths did not change that recognition. The inclusion of their names would not be helpful to the readers’ understanding of the shooting. WP:NOTEVERYTHING in the media needs to be reproduced in Wikipedia. We are not here to provide a tribute to victims. The only thing useful to know is the demographics of the victims (age, gender etc). WWGB (talk) 01:04, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This could also be applied to the perpetrator. His name does not help readers' understanding of the shooting either. Also, this article shouldn't be a tribute to the victims, but it also shouldn't be a tribute to the perpetrator. If you only leave out the perpetrator name but not the victim's names, that would constitute as bias. Likewise, if you only mention the perpetrators name, and not the names of the victims, that would also constitute as bias, or a "tribute." Again, this article is about the incident, not just the perpetrator. Which is why both the victim's names and Vučko Borilović's name should be mentioned. The killer is the cause of it; the active participant. His name should be in the article, but those of the victims shouldn't be. However, the connections between them (neighbour, relative etc.) should be included. Jim Michael 2 (talk) 11:20, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Perpetrator[edit]

The perpetrator was not shot by the police, but rather by another civilian with a pistol, who was an acquaintance of his. 178.221.71.50 (talk) 10:36, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
