A-League[edit]

Are the champions (in this article) the "premiers" (ladder leaders after the regular season) or the "champions" (winners of the finals series)? WDM10 (talk) 04:26, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thai league[edit]

@Matilda Maniac: Judging from the season named for Thai league "2020–21", shouldn't this page be shifted to the 2021 season? Or are there going two different seasons, one of which will also start in 2021 and end in 2021 as well? What do you think about this?--Anbans 585 (talk) 09:03, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Was conflicted as first half of season ends this month, which provides the entrants for 2021 AFC Champions League, whereas end of the season is certainly 2021 (and qualifiers for 2022 AFC Champions League) so maybe it belongs there twice ? But I now see other seasons that straddle the years are counted in the year that the Champions are declared, so i am happy if there is nothing for Thailand in 2020 in this table. @Matilda Maniac: Yes, in a way a single season spanned for two years. Maybe a message regarding the same can be added? That way it can be across two seasons. But then again, maybe it is not about displaying the teams which qualified for the champions league, but the champion team of the tournament. It seems to me that adding a message for Thailand would be best.--Anbans 585 (talk) 17:41, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

International club competitions[edit]

In my opinion it would be better insert the winners, the finalists, the score of the final of each competition in the respective wikitable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr Salvus (talkcontribs) 13:46, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think that there is a difference between the club and country championships. The main difference is that since each country competition isn't held every year, making a table doesn't make much sense. The tables are probably emphasizing "what happened in this year's season?"--Anbans 585 (talk) 14:25, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think I made a mistake in explaining myself. I meant international club competitions (e.g. Champions League or Europa League) Dr Salvus (talk) 17:50, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Dr SalvusDr Salvus (talk) 17:50, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I also agree on removing the defending champions column. It would be better to wait a day or two before making the final decision though. As others may want to weigh into this issue, considering how the same format has been used for a long time.--Anbans 585 (talk) 18:10, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Anbans 585 what is the decision that has been made? I think it makes no sense to keep the column of defending champions Dr Salvus (talk) 22:21, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Dr SalvusDr Salvus (talk) 22:21, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Where to place these?[edit]

So was going to add the NZ/OFC tournaments to the list, but I'm not 100% sure where to add them as they aren't national tournaments but international ones and there doesn't seem to be a place for them?

Also for the 2020 OFC Champions League though it was cancelled, it was decided Auckland City will be the nominated team to represent the region at the Club World Cup. I assume we should note this? NZFC(talk)(cont) 22:16, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
