I do not believe this is necessary for this article. Its just a list of flags. The participating athletes are already listed in the prose of the article, and beyond that is unnecessary. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 00:36, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It should stay as it always did. Not only has a list such as this one been on these slam tennis pages in years past (and stayed), but also it is a clear way to show the nationalities. Not having the list makes trying to see the nationalities confusing looking down through the brackets of the tournament. That's probably why the editor who originally started the list wanted to do it in the first place. And, even with thousands of people viewing these tennis pages, these lists have never been objected to as far as I've seen. Johnsmith2116 (talk) 00:48, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Actually no. This is against consensus and only slipped through a couple articles. In fact you were warned about these non-consensus chart additions way back in 2016. The press never talks about a listing of all the nationalities in the field so you'd be hard pressed to source it as it is. @Sportsfan 1234: was correct in removing them. Take it to tennis project and see if you can convince others of its importance before trying to add it again. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:11, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
