Do we really need the Licencing Trust election results? What about local board elections and District Health Board elections? Ajf773 (talk) 21:20, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ajf773: I set up this page by copying and pasting the 2016 Auckland local elections page, then deleting the candidate/vote information. The 2013 page is near-identical. For consistency, I presume we should retain the Licensing Trust results.
As for the 21 local boards, almost all have their own pages and of the ones that do, the following 14 list the results: Hibiscus and Bays Local Board, Upper Harbour Local Board, Franklin Local Board, Howick Local Board, Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board, Manurewa Local Board, Papakura Local Board, Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board, Devonport-Takapuna Local Board, Kaipātiki Local Board, Rodney Local Board, Henderson-Massey Local Board, Waitematā Local Board, and Whau Local Board.
With the elections coming up in a few months, I think we should make an effort to:
  • create the missing pages with their results
  • update the pages that don't have results; using tables is preferable

Interesting. The licensing trust elections are not "part of" the council local elections, but are simply held concurrently. This raises the point whether it was appropriate to merge them. I think it was not, on the grounds of irrelevancy. Akld guy (talk) 00:49, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm late to this. Agree with Akld guy: as the licensing trust elections are not part of the local elections, they should not be on this page. If they aren't notable, then we should not record the election results here. The outcome of the licensing elections should be recorded at The Trusts. Schwede66 21:40, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
