The importance of the Los Angeles Super Bowl move

I don't know about any other editor here, but I'm highly concerned for this diff. The IP is trying to say that this statement about the LA Super Bowl move from Super Bowl LV isn't exactly important for the 2017 season (full description in the edit summary.) I do believe this is important to keep, as it was decided this offseason.

@TdanTce: This is your edit I'm talking about here. What do you have to say about this? jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 22:13, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

  • The source has the Super Bowl move listed, so my thought is to keep it in the 2017 season article and also in the 2020 season when it's created. TdanTce (talk) 00:19, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Superbowls are always awarded years in advance. I don't recall previous season articles getting a note of what superbowl(s) were awarded while it was happening? I'm afraid that I have to agree with the statement that it makes no difference to an article about the 2017 season - because it's not happening IN the 2017 season. 2A02:C7D:15A:AB00:E5D3:1315:4421:8430 (talk) 18:18, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
There is absolutely no reason to include this in the 2017 season article, especially as its own section as it is now. Super Bowls are always ararded 3-5 years in advance and those are never placed in the earlier articles. For example, Super Bowl LV was originally awarded to Los Angeles in May 2016, but there is no mention of this (or Super Bowls LIII and LIV, which were also awarded in 2016). This article, which is already very long before the season even starts, only needs information directly related to the 2017 season, not the 2020 and 2021 seasons. New sections for Records and Awards

The 2016 NFL season page included a section that showed records that were tied or broken and/or personal milestones that were reached every week by players around the league. The 2016 NFL season page also had a section that told which players won Players of the Week/Month awards and end of season awards as well. Can the 2017 NFL season page have two sections like that? - Joshua Haralson 2607:FCC8:8D01:C800:4C22:330E:560A:100 (talk) 05:01, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

I have readded one of these sections and tagged it for further expansion. Unfortunately, the Awards section was what caused me to revert the page as it looked like a WP:COPYPASTE from the 2016 season. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 05:04, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Awards section has been added with the table. Please watch out for IP 66.27.46.39. I've just warned them for adding the table when one was already made and I've hit my 3rd revert according to WP:3RR. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 00:31, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Joe Thomas snap streak ended

Re: this edit, would this source be enough to re-add a (structurally improved) point regarding Joe Thomas' record consecutive snap streak ending at 10,363? jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 18:05, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

In season trades

I note that the article deals extensively with trades prior to the season, but I can't see any reference to the in-season trades (of which we had an abundance this season). I know people are a bit touchy about changing the formatting, but it seems to me a new section on some of the big moves ahead of the trade deadline would be in order. --Legis (talk - contribs) 16:40, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
