Points System[edit]

How do the points go after 27th? Indy Lights' point system is not identical as IndyCar's, and I cannot find any mention on the official site. Thecrookedcap (talk) 00:00, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Guthrie Meyer Racing[edit]

Guthrie Meyer Racing has been shut down permanently, as of the morning of Tuesday, May 26th, 2009. The announcement will come later this week on the website belonging to the auction company I work for. We are going to be executing their liquidation sale in mid-June. However, I won't change any of the articles until it is formally announced, but I thought I would just make it known, and ask advice how the change should be made in the Team and Driver Chart. Thanks. Manningmbd 14:44, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This information has been added to the main article by someone else. I can not find any information to confirm it to be true except for the above statement. I believe it should be removed. Mercenary Roadie (talk) 19:56, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It was confirmed today on the Indy Lights practice broadcast on IndyCar.com -Drdisque (talk) 20:18, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for confirming it. Can someone fix the cell in that table. It looks a messy now compared to the others. I don't know how to do it or I would. Mercenary Roadie (talk) 17:36, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Philippe driving for Team PBIR[edit]

Acording to driver Charlie Kimball the deal is for five races.Mercenary Roadie (talk) 02:28, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Makes sense, there's 5 road course races left this season. -Drdisque (talk) 02:41, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Deal has been comfirmed on indycar.com today. I added a reference. If I did it wrong, please let me know Mercenary Roadie (talk) 00:03, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ana Beatriz[edit]

The following statement was posted is the Daily Track Report on the series web page.

The Indy Racing League, the sanctioning body for Firestone Indy Lights, has penalized driver Ana Beatriz for on-track actions during the race June 20 at Iowa Speedway.

Beatriz has been penalized five grid positions for this weekend's event at Watkins Glen for failing to respond to yellow flag conditions, which is a violation of rules involving caution periods as listed in the Firestone Indy Lights Rule Book.

Beatriz may appeal the penalty as prescribed in the Firestone Indy Lights Rule Book. An appeal may result in an increase, decrease or no change to the penalty.

How should this information be added to the article. Mercenary Roadie (talk) 18:27, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the summary for the race in which the penalty occurred. -Drdisque (talk) 19:24, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
