Wording[edit]

I have changed the wording in the lead from 'be the last time the Liberal Democrats gained a constituency from the Conservatives until the 2016 Richmond Park by-election' to'be the last time the Liberal Democrats gained a constituency from the Conservatives at a by-election until the 2016 Richmond Park by-election.' Although there were no Lib Dem gains from Conservatives at by-elections in this period, some Conservative held seats were gained by the Lib Dems in general elections (eg Westmorland and Lonsdale in 2005).
