Something wrong?

There seems to be an error in this portal. The edit section of each box sends the user to a template page. It should be a sub-portal page. Can anyone fix this? --Siva1979Talk to me 06:54, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Well, on second thoughts, I am planning to re-do the whole portal, living the content intact. If mistakes are being made during the editing process, please do not mistake this for vandalism. I am planning to get this portal to Featured portal status. This may take weeks so I need all the help that I can get. Thank you for your understanding. This is my first attempt in editing a portal page completely. --Siva1979Talk to me 07:01, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, attempting to recreate the portal and it looks ugly right now. But the fundamenrtal contents are still there. Following the instructions of Wikipedia:Portal/Instructions to the letter. Any one can help if they want to. But if major mistakes are being done here, I accept full responsibility for my bold actions. --Siva1979Talk to me 07:14, 20 August 2006

Alright. I gave up improving this page. It is time for me to be totally competent in editing portal pages before attempting to improve the quality of this portal. Reverted all my edits here as well. --Siva1979Talk to me 09:31, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
At last, this problem has been fixed. now let us work together in bringing this portal up to Featured Portal status! --Siva1979Talk to me 19:51, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Use of other languages other than English

First of all this is English Wikipedia, if they wanted to know what the name of the place is in chinese etc, then they would go to chinese wikipedia. Secondly, chinese is only one of the 4 official languages of Singapore, with only English having the clear distinction as it is the working language of the country. So if you are to put the translations of a place in Singapore or a Singapore topic, either have it in English only, or all 4 languages for uniformity and fairness. Your take? Elections 2015

I'm new to Singapore, but I see that the article: Singaporean general election, 2015 is the most updated article for the last week. Therefore it might be useful to add this line to Portal:Singapore/Selected anniversaries/September:

Not sure if this is appropriate or in conflict with the rules for portals. Thanks for feedback.

--huggi - never stop exploring (talk) 02:39, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Huggi, just because an article is the most updated article means that it is significant enough to add to the list of anniversaries. It usually has to have lasting and significant notability, ie: a significant event in Singapore history. On a sidenote, edit patterns can vary due to news cycles- the reason why it is the most edited article is because this event has received quite a significant amount of media coverage recently. Cheers!--Lionratz (talk) 08:02, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
Yes Lionratz, that's like with McDonalds, just because there are many people it does not mean that there is good food. For me as a foreigner it does not matter anyway because a) I'm not allowed to vote and b) It's like everywhere else in the world a local game. But it's probably "significant" or notable for the locals as it impacts their future, but of course everyone can ignore it as well, that's also a statement --huggi - never stop exploring (talk) 08:16, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

Updating of Page's title

Hi there,

i've put up a request for speedy renaming/merging with the function, not sure what's the next step from here. If any form of verification is required in order to make this changes to the page's title, feel free to reach me at my company's email, kenneth.ong@mapletree.com.sg

This is a property owned by my company and since we've changed the building name to mTower as at January 2021, we would like to update this information asap. Would appreciate it if you guys can speed things up for us.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards, Kenneth

Removed template and edit request to mTower had been done. --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 06:32, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
