change the image size to 350 for portraits, and 450 or 550 for more square images, 700 for longer landscape images

For those not familiar, alt= is for people with visual impairments, or who use screen readers, or who have turned off image viewers. if no alt text is added, remove the alt section to avoid screen reader problems.
