Demographics[edit]

Ethnicity[edit]

The Paddiruppu Polling Division has a Sri Lankan Tamil majority (78.6%) and a significant Moor population (18.7%) . In comparison, the Batticaloa Electoral District (which contains the Paddiruppu Polling Division) has a Sri Lankan Tamil majority (72.3%) and a significant Moor population (25.4%) [1]
