Olle Pettersson

Olle Pettersson (born March 2, 1986) is a Swedish entrepreneur, economist and founder and CEO of Haveton, which runs financial sites focused on loans and savings.[1][2]

Pettersson is a former ice hockey professional who played for professional clubs CH Madrid and CP Tenerife.[3][4]

Education and early career[edit]

Olle Pettersson was born in Linköping, Sweden. He attended the social sciences program with a focus on economics at Katedralskolan. In the fall after graduation, he moved to Madrid to play ice hockey.[3] After a year as a professional hockey player in CH Madrid and two years in CP Tenerife, he moved to Halmstad to study. He obtained a bachelor's degree in economics with a major in business administration and together with Niklas Ahlberg wrote a bachelor's thesis on how music can build brand equity.[5]

Olle started his career at the content agency Intro PR in 2011-2012, where he worked with global brands such as Pilsner Urquell, The Glenlivet, Beefeater and Pernod Ricard. Between 2012-2016, Olle worked as a consultant at the IR agency Oxenstierna & Partners (now Oxenstierna Kommunikation). At Oxenstierna & Partners, he was responsible for financial reports for the then listed company NSP and Mackmyra.[6][7][8]

In 2016, he became marketing director at Mediaplanet [sv][9][10] and in 2020, he got a new role at Mediaplanet as Chief Product Officer. In that role, Olle was responsible for the editorial product in 16 markets in Europe and North America. There he was responsible for and supported 14 newsrooms that wrote about economics, health, education and entrepreneurship.[11] Olle was also the architect behind the Caybon brand and the new company structure where Caybon became an umbrella brand with the business units Mediaplanet, Appelberg, N365 Group, Newsner, Splay One and Future Media Group.[12][13] He later founded Haveton in 2022, that runs financial websites.[14][15][16] The team includes the presenter and private economist Magdalena Kowalczyk [sv] and economist journalist Estela López García.[17][18][19]
