TUNNELBOUW; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 10 uit 1938.; De aanleg van de Maastunnel te Rotterdam. SHOTS: - verkeer op de Coolsingel; - geopende spoorbrug over de Koninginnehaven; - verkeer, oa op en bij de Koninginnebrug en Willemsbrug; - schepen op de Maas; - schematische weergave van de aanleg van de Maastunnel (1100 mtr. lang) die de linker en rechter Maasoever met elkaar verbindt, een dwarsdoorsnede waarmee de diepte van de tunnel wordt weergegeven (14 mtr.), een dwarsdoorsnede waarin de plaats voor verschillende vervoersmiddelen wordt aangegeven en de wijze waarop de vervoersmiddelen door de tunnel zullen gaan rijden; - het bouwterrein; - het afvoeren van zand mbv lopende banden; - enkele lassers aan het werk.
