Esumi Station (江住駅, Esumi-eki) is a passenger railway station in located in the town of Susami, Nishimuro District, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West).

Esumi Station is served by the Kisei Main Line (Kinokuni Line), and is located 242.0 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Kameyama Station and 61.8 kilometers from Shingū.

The station consists of one island platform connected to the station building by a level crossing. The station is unattended.

History[edit]

Esumi Station opened on September 7, 1938. With the privatization of the Japan National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan Railway Company.

Passenger statistics[edit]

In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 13 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[3]
