Ssali Alpha Thierry (born 29 December 2003) is a Ugandan professional footballer who plays as a striker or forward for Premier League club Proline FC and the Uganda Cranes U20 national team.

Ssali Alpha Thierry was born in Kampala and played youth football with Proline Football Academy before starting his professional career with Proline FC.

Alpha Ssali was among the Uganda Cranes U20 national team which reached the finals of the AFCON U20 2021 tournament loosing to Ghana U20 national team.

Early life[edit]

Ssali Alpha Thierry was born in Kampala City where he lived throughout his childhood with his parents in Kiwatule Nakawa starting his education in Kampala.

Education career[edit]

Alpha Ssali studied from Kabojja Junior school where he finished his primary education before joining Kitante Secondary school where he finished his Ordinary level education in Kampala.

Alpha Thierry Ssali trained with the Arsenal Academy in the United Kingdom during his junior career where the young star improved to break through the Ugandan national team.

Club career[edit]

Alpha Ssali started his football career with Proline Football Club at age 5 in Uganda where he went through the academy system and went on to represent UgandaU20 at the age of 16. At the age of 17 he was selected for the first team of Proline against MYDA where he scored on his debut and went on to make a number of appearances in the league and cups. Also during his time at the national team U20, he went on with the Uganda Cranes U20 to the AFCON U20 finals where he was among the first Ugandans to reach the AFCON U20 finals which was a great achievement for him and the young promising Ugana U20 nationa; team. Style of play[edit]

Ssali Alpha Thierry is a player gifted with pace, agility, strength and quick feet and an eye for a goal. Naturally competitive, high-level of physical conditioning and self-discipline. A very hardworking player with great movement off the ball, skilled and comfortable with both feet. High concentration and intensity, very good anticipation, positioning, creative player and a goal scorer. He has the ability to cope with the pressure of playing at a professional level, good attitude both on and off the field of play. He is an attacking player with good tactical understanding and always maintain a high level of fitness.
