Ismoilkhuja Akhmedkhodjaev (Uzbek: Исмоилхужа Ахмедходжаев; born 9 December 2004), commonly known as Ismail Akhmed, is an Uzbek racing driver set to compete in the 2023 Italian F4 Championship, with Van Amersfoort Racing, having previously driven for AKM Motorsport in 2022.

Karting[edit]
Having started karting at the age of 13 in his home country of Uzbekistan, where, after losing out on the 2018 Uzbek Championship in the final race, Akhmedkhodjaev won the national championship and cup in 2019.[1] After missing a year of racing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he progressed to the European karting scene, competing in the European Championship with Birel ART Racing.[2] He finished 61st in the standings, stating that he hadn't expected to be missing the knowledge and experience his European competitors had.[3]
Formula 4[edit]

Having tested for Xcel Motorsport at the end of 2021 during an official test day at the Dubai Autodrome, where he only completed ten laps due to a crash,[4] the Uzbek driver progressed into car racing in 2022, competing in the Formula 4 UAE Championship with the same outfit.[5][6] He would score a best finish of 19th, which he achieved at the opening round at the Yas Marina Circuit,[7] and ended up 36th in the standings.
Akhmedkhodjaev's main campaign that year would lie in the Italian F4 Championship, where he would partner Pedro Clerot and later Valerio Rinicella at AKM Motorsport.[8][9] He failed to score any points and finished 48th overall.
For the 2023 season, Akhmed remained in Italian F4, this time joining Van Amersfoort Racing.[10]
