Contested deletion[edit]

This category should not be speedy deleted as being unpopulated, because when I checked this morning, it had six pages in it. I do not know if it was ever empty, but I was not involved in repopulating it if that happened. --LeSnail (talk) 13:04, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like this discussion concluded that Category:Sri Lankan Tamil mathematicians should be upmerged to the current category. But the bot that implemented the decision instead deleted that category without upmerging, leaving the current category empty. LeSnail (talk) 13:14, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Right. Coincidentally, I spotted the error in the instruction listed for the bot, and retrieved the contents. I see that Obi2canibe has also retrieved the former members of category:Sinhalese mathematicians – good catch. – Fayenatic London 18:17, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
