Should not go on articles but on articles' talk pages[edit]

Resolved
 – Consensus at WP:CFD is that this belongs on talk pages.

This is an administrative category that is of no value to readers, so it should really be on the talk pages. Alex Middleton 17:04, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is precisely the conclusion that WP:CFD arrived at; it is considered "non-defining". — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 16:11, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now, two years later, it is probably too late to tell whoever implements this that there is no DEFAULTSORT or its equivalent on the talk page. The listas parameter will only affect the items that are within the project banners. In order to prevent the names' appearing here in all sorts of weird orders the Listas value must be pasted after a pipe on this template and its relatives.
In the crusade to add the listas parameter to those pages that lack it, the DEFAULTSORT is being removed when it is found. Unfortunately this feature and the intrusiveness of this tag's being above the comments on a Talk page rather than almost at the bottom of an article page were not considered when the decision was made to put this tag on the Talk page. (Another argument for its being on the Article page is that the Date(s) and Place(s) of Birth and Death should not be on the Talk page but will only appear on the article page.)
