This category contains are lot of people who did not play in the World Cup final - i.e. Jimmy Greaves, and who therefore are not World Cup winners. I think only players who contribute to the final should count, not the whole squad. Catchpole 07:25, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's up to interpretation. If your idea of contributing is only on the field then yea you're right, however players contribute behind the scenes and in practice or if a player is injured, that is why they are selected in the squad and all the players no matter how much playing time they have had receive a winner's medal, etc. They are champions so they DO belong.
