Please check out the List of computing and IT abbreviations for a significant number of acronyms. Please note that the scope of 'abbreviations' is broader than that of 'acronyms'.

^ Adding to that, I think a good differentiating factor is that acronyms are usually pronounceable like a real word.TOFU, POJO, and SCSI are good examples. so by this general "rule", the abbreviations become acronyms if they are pronounced as they look. 2600:1700:3051:3FD0:19B2:E3DA:654B:A83D (talk) 01:40, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
