Opposed speedy move request[edit]

  • Oppose this batch. I do not understand why Eastern Catholic poets would be excluded here. (Besides I note the continuing mis-use in Wikipedia categories of the term Roman Catholic for members of the Latin Church only, while in everyday life Roman Catholic and Catholic are just synonyms.) There arent any articles about Eastern Catholic poets in the UK as far as I can see. If there were I think they would justify a seperate category.Rathfelder (talk) 08:14, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why would poets of any Catholic particular church write different poetry? Latin-language poets in the Latin Church are meanwhile extremely exceptional and besides we already have categories by non-native language. Generally it is no longer a differentiating feature between Latin and Eastern Catholics to write in one's native language except when it comes to official church documents. But that exception does not include poetry. Marcocapelle (talk) 17:18, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • That seems like an argument for deleting these categories altogether. I wouldnt oppose that. Rathfelder (talk) 11:18, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
