2022 KINAL internal referendum
The 2022 KINAL internal referendum was announced by Nikos Androulakis, President of KINAL on April 1, 2022, and was held on May 8, 2022.[1] The question set to party members was whether the Movement would keep the same name and emblem, or whether it would shift back to the historical symbol of the PA.SO.K., the Green Sun, and rename itself "PASOK - Movement of Change".[2] The proposal to change the emblem and name was accepted with a percentage of 95%.
After the referendum, Nikos Androulakis spoke of the return of the Green Sun and a mass participation of 170,000 members.[3] The new emblem was unveiled two weeks later, with the traditional green sun having changed hue in a gradient from dark to lighter from left to right.[4]

Results[edit]
The complete vote count showed that 179,005 members of the movement participated, with the change of emblem and name receiving 95% of the votes.[5]
