Şehitlik is a village in the Pazar District, Rize Province, in Black Sea Region of Turkey.[1] Its population is 375 (2021).[2]
History[edit]
According to list of villages in Laz language book (2009), name of the village is Mxak'u, which means "a water bug". Most villagers are ethnically Laz.[3]
Geography[edit]
The village is located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) away from Pazar.
