archives[edit]

For whatever reason, archiving is an area I've worked in quite a lot. You are of course free to handle your own talk page archives in whatever manner you choose, but just FYI {{archives}} organizes things here on the talk page pretty nicely, and if you add {{archive basics}} to your talk page it will enable one click archiving. @User:Just Step Sideways I wasn't sure how to archive pages like you and other users do, so I just created another page for the archives. Can you help me organize it better for me? GoodHue291 (talk) 18:01, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 21:09, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Just Step Sideways Thanks for doing that for me, is the message below the message "This talk page is reserved for messages including about article, or other things." needed? Or can I just delete it?
Also, is there a bot that automatically archives talk page messages after a certain amount of days? GoodHue291 (talk) 21:12, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:AUTOARCHIVE contains several options, I personally prefer Wikipedia:One click archiving, but actually something doesn't seem to be working quite right with it at the moment. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 21:16, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the information. GoodHue291 (talk) 00:11, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please familiarise yourself with the above guideline, and try not to make edits like this one [1] in which you openly Americanise articles written about British subjects. If you're not familiar with British English, or Australian English or any other non-American form, then please check before making grammar edits. Similar edits include American spellings like this one [2], -ise to -ize changes, and adding Oxford Commas, which are usually unnecessary in British English and avoided if possible. Also, Anglicising quoted words like the Irish maighean here [3] is unhelpful. Thanks, Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:15, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Was the articles written in British English? Both are correct so there shouldn't be any need of removing it. GoodHue291 (talk) 14:34, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, clearly they were or you would not have found the need to Americanise them. Please read MOS:TIES AND MOS:RETAIN. Articles about British subjects are written in British English, and should not be changed to anything else. Particularly if you're going to correct one instance of "programme" to "program" and not another in the same article. Bretonbanquet (talk) 14:56, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I don't have any relations with TheAlienMan2002, I'm not sure why I am currently being indefinitely blocked here. GoodHue291 (talk) 16:16, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

My use of the checkuser tool confirms the connection. PhilKnight (talk) 16:38, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

PhilKnight - I'm not sure how I have any relations with the user. I just started Wikipedia, the amount of bias you have is insane. You and probably other Wikipedians on this website need to know integrity and respect. GoodHue291 (talk) 17:02, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
