Copied from 模板:中国新石器时代文化. The template is organized by neolithic cultural regions, with earlier settlements towards the left and later settlements towards the right.
I've added Bronze Age Cultures to the template, as the Bronze Age, along with the Iron Age, is included within the remit of "Prehistory".[1] If, for any reason, there is a problem with this, it might be advisable to look at creating separate templates for "Palaeolithic", "Neolithic", "Bronze Age" and "Iron Age" cultures of China.
I've also added a section for Xinjiang province, which was excluded despite covering 1,664,897 km2 of modern China's total area.
Prehistory means before recorded history. This template is the "Prehistoric cultures of China" and therefore for pre-writing cultures of China. Neither Erlitou nor Erligang have writing. The few symbols found do not qualify as writing. If any of this is confusing, please comment here. user:Sevilledade, I am once again adding Erlitou and Erligang back in to the template.
