Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing[edit]

Submitted a GA request, which failed. Length of article deemed short. I'm actually at a loss for how to conceivably expand this article any more without getting crufty. Plus it could surely use some other improvements as well. Hbdragon88 17:17, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Send it back to GAC and raise a little hell, because length is NOT a GA requirement. Nifboy 17:43, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They clarified the rationale. I agreed and changed the article so that most of hte problems have been fixed. The remaining issue is length - not broad enough in scope. I honeslty don't know how this would be done... Hbdragon88 03:58, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You could start by adding a development section for length and broadening the scope of the article.--Clyde Miller 17:45, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The problem was, there was a section on development, speculation on whether Big Rigs was an early, unfinished version of Supercharged. I removed it because it didn't appear to be very reliable or verifable (they just compared screenshots). Hbdragon88 02:02, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You were right to remove an unreliable speculation section. However, it is still a good idea to have some sort of development section. As some other better editors have told me, have something about the annocements of Big Rigs at E3 and other gaming conventions, and have something about interviews with the devevolpers of the game. Also, add about how the game was created from the developer's stand point. If you can find a reliable internet or magazine source, it might be good to add a sentence or two about the comparisions between Big Rigs and Supercharged. As always, make lots of citations.--Clyde Miller 22:58, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm...where the heck did this game come from? Googling "big rigs" 2003 E3 or its full title brings up nothing but games regarding big rigs, or message boards that simply speculate on the game. Hbdragon88 06:28, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't know what to tell you. I couldn't find anything either.--Clyde Miller 02:52, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
