A removal candidate. A very early promotion that hasn't aged well - uncited text, excessive use of Livy and Polybius, and one section is almost entirely just a block quote from Polybius. This needs significant work to get back to the criteria. It's beyond my institutional knowledge, but it really looks like the A-class rating for this one predates parts of the ACR system. • Delist - Relies too much on what are essentially primary sources, needs references elsewhere, and text should be consolidated and reformatted. This is probably not going to happen in the next three weeks. -Indy beetle (talk) 20:55, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delist per Indy beetle: there's much too heavy a reliance on primary sources here, and the article would need so much work that if this was done it should pass through a new ACR to ensure that the community agrees it's A-class. Nick-D (talk) 23:00, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delist. Huge direct quotations, almost entirely cited to primary sources. Beyond hope really, I think it needs starting again with a blank page. Gog the Mild (talk) 12:04, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delist, noticed a couple of uncited paragraphs as well.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 18:17, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
