Jakarta[edit]

Now that Indonesia is almost an FA standard article, its embarrassing the article about the capital is written to such a poor standard. The Indonesia project doesn't have any city articles which are rated above B class, so how about we focus on this one first and bring it up to GA standard? I'm sure almost everyone here is familiar with Jakarta, right? Caniago 16:23, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support as above. Caniago 16:23, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - I am not a biologist, alas!, so I won't be able to help writing about fauna. Meursault2004 09:20, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - I'm fairly new, but wld like to give it a shot. My area of interest wld be the 'history' of Jakarta. As a side note: think there are a few articles in the list that have already moved away from stub status and might only need to be recategorised. Rgds, JOHN NATHANN 19:46, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - assuming this is still active and open, Jakarta certainly seems like a deserving candidate for a collaboration Mostlyharmless 01:16, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - needs to be done - as well as a close look at all the related subsidiary articles SatuSuro 00:25, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Closed nominations for fortnight starting 21 Apr[edit]

Central Java - "chosen" for 22 April 2007[edit]

  • Support Javanese major regions have poor articles - that need to have work done on them SatuSuro 01:32, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support compare with the article in the Indonesian Wikipedia id:Jawa Tengah!! I think a lot of translation work must be done. Acaramoy 21:30, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The id article has no references. Thus i suggest the amount of material that can simply be translated over to en is limited unless we can find references for each bit of info. Merbabu 01:28, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Languages of Indonesia[edit]

  • Support Need more info on the other major languages of Indonesia. Wiki Raja 02:19, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support If we colab on this list with all the languages that we personally know ourselves, it would make an extensive list.Matahari Pagi 04:53, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mount Merapi[edit]

  • Support Since the last possible eruption, it has becoming very famous. And I reckon if we work on this, we can get our first, second, third, fourth FA. Imoeng 12:45, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh plus it was delisted for GA in June. Darn. Imoeng 12:47, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah, that Decade Volanoes stuff is a really good point. Imoeng 13:32, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - some sources have been argued on the talk page with since departed from wikipedia editors - we need to do a good cleanup of this article - if we can get a good clean list of volcanoes - we should get this one cleaner as well SatuSuro 13:21, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Surakarta[edit]

  • An embarrassment to the project - Yogyakarta was split up into separate articles - but this one really needs a good cleanup. SatuSuro 04:50, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cliff Muntu[edit]

  • This is currently a high profile news in Indonesia, and currently there is no dedicated page for it. So I started an article on it. However, it is currently an AfD, whereas I think this particular topic is important for Indonesia current history. So I appeal project members to contribute to this article. You're also welcome to change the title to IPDN Students Death or IPDN Students Violence if you think the title Cliff Muntu is not appropriate, because the content is basically more on the series of student death in IPDN. However I put it under Cliff Muntu because he is the latest and most prominent victim. Awaiting your response to this. Chaerani 09:40, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
