Wikipedia:WikiProject Academic Journals/Images

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The stuff below should be moved to the talk page eventually. This page should become just a list. See also Category:Fair use scientific journal covers.

Image rationales[edit]

We may need to keep an eye out for journal cover images being deleted. What is most often needed to fix the problems is to add a rationale. I use {{subst:magazine rationale|ARTICLE NAME|PUBLISHER'S NAME}}. Don't forget to remove the deletion tag and the magazine cover license tag (the 'magazine rationale' template provides it) as well. I'm going to list some of the images I spotted at User:East718/DFUI/Magazine covers. Please help fix these images, and keep an eye on the tracker page as well (the one in east718's user space).

All  Done.

Also, if you spot any academic journal articles without cover images, check the history. If there was an image that got deleted, ask me or another admin to undelete so it can be fixed. Or do it yourself if you have the tools. Thanks. Carcharoth (talk) 04:06, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More[edit]

All  Done.

Some more. Carcharoth (talk) 01:37, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Still more[edit]

See the uploads by Plovis. Around 50-60 images, some fixed, some not, some deleted. Will get a list of not deleted ones that need fixing. Here is a list of deleted ones for now.

All  Done.

Some may be due to article deletions, and hence won't need undeleting. Carcharoth (talk) 18:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rationales needed[edit]

Not tagged (yet) but rationales needed.

All  Done.

Lots of stuff from JHUP there! Carcharoth (talk) 01:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
