  • Keep - Doesn't violate any of the template namespace guidelines or other WP:TFD#REASONS. Yes, it might be sparingly used, but that doesn't necessitate deletion; one might as well ban all warning templates and replace them with a standardised complaint form. - User:Axisixa [talk] [contribs] 01:39, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • so why is "warning template" labelled as a barnstar? are warnings = awards? if people are trying to collect warnings as barnstars, that violates many WP policies. Frietjes (talk) 19:22, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      • This is because the template incorrectly used {{Barnstar documentation}}; it seems like the template creator did not understand WP guidelines.     • @Jason Rees and Yellow Evan: if you are using it only one article (List of wettest tropical cyclones by country) why do you need it in a separate template? the other table in that section (Swan Island) is in the article directly and not in a separate template.       • Does it seriously matter? After all to my knowledge there isnt a rule on wiki that a template has to be used two or three times before it can be a template.Jason Rees (talk) 15:31, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
        • from Wikipedia:TG, Templates should not normally be used to store article text, as this makes it more difficult to edit the content. one can argue if a table of statistics counts as "article text", but the spirit is that we generally should not store content in templates unless it is being used in more than one article. and even then, there is LST.
