Wikipedia:GLAM/Royal Society of Chemistry/Catalyst

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An editathon was held at Catalyst, a hands-on museum of science and the chemical industry, in Widnes, Cheshire, on Saturday 8 August, hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry's Wikipedian in Residence, Andy Mabbett, User:Pigsonthewing.

Features[edit]

The focus was on chemistry-related topics; including both scientific and non-scientific content (the latter including biographies, for example). We worked on Wikipedia, but also sister projects including Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, and others.

Assistance was available for new editors.

Participants were able to access Catalyst's extensive archives (details here) and RSC staff provided access to papers from the society's journals.
