Speedy deletion declined: Joe Dudgeon

Hello Zanoni. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Joe Dudgeon, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article makes a credible assertion enough to pass A7. Probably fails WP:FOOTY though so you might want to take it to WP:PROD or WP:AFD. Thank you. Nancy talk 09:00, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Ahhh, got him on G4. I should have found that from the logs.  :) Nancy talk 09:10, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Robert Brady (Irish Footballer)

Hello Zanoni. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Robert Brady (Irish Footballer), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. Nancy talk 09:04, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Original author has disputed the prod. I have sent it to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robert Brady (Irish Footballer) Nancy talk 09:16, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Zomato

Hello Zanoni. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Zomato, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. Thank you. GedUK  16:11, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Removing PROD BLP tag

Please do not remove proposed deletion of biography of living person (Prod blp) templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Wendy MacNaughton, without providing sources, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Although you added a speedy deletion tag, the PROD BLP notice should have also remained in place, because if the speedy deletion is declined the PROD BLP is still valid. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:38, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

It was my PROD BLP which I added and then realised that speedy delete was probably more appropriate and deleted- but point (partially) taken. Zanoni (talk) 12:35, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I see that you had put it there yourself, but I still think it would be better to leave it there, for the reason I gave. However, perhaps the wording of my message wasn't ideal, since you were removing your own tag. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:39, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

BLP prod of Ian Edmondson

I removed the BLP prod tag you placed on Ian Edmonson (since moved to Ian Edmondson), as an editor has added at least one reliable source to support at least one claim made in the article. Feel free to nominate for regular prod or AfD if you still believe the article should be deleted. —KuyaBriBriTalk 18:42, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

tag on Bert Muhly page

HI, I note in 'my talk' that you seem to still have a tag on the Bert Muhly page, asking for references. I am new to all of this, but think I have cleaned it up. Is there something more I should be doing? Catherine Banghart — Preceding unsigned comment added by Catherine Banghart (talkcontribs) 21:55, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Ooops, didn't understand about the 4 tildes, so signed improperly on my note re my Bert Muhly page. Catherine Banghart (talk) 22:02, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Hello! - thanks for asking I proposed deletion originally as all biographies of living people added to wikipedia need to be referenced, and the article did not originally cite and references - see WP:BLP for full details of why this is important. I see now that you have added some references so this is why another editor has now removed my proposed deletion. I see from looking at the article that some of the references you have added are from wikipedia - WP:SOURCES should be read - wikipedia itself is not generally considered a legitimate source to reference - neither are self-published sources - also read WP:SPS to see what this means. You might also like to look at the style for recording references within article - WP:CITE. I would assume this article is your own content - if not then you should also look at WP:CP as well and be aware that content from other non-free sources can also be deleted. Hope this helps Zanoni (talk) 13:55, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. GiantSnowman 17:09, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, really should give you more some info - it's just about the AfD you attempted to open on Troh César Hougnonhouon which needs attention. Regards, GiantSnowman 18:13, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Actually, think I've managed to solve it now. Regards, GiantSnowman 18:29, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

The article Saša Macura has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fail WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league. His cup appearance does not grant notability as it was not against a fully pro team.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sir Sputnik (talk) 19:16, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

I don't have a particularly strong view on this - and in fact I even queried my creation of the articles on a discussion at WP:FOOTBALL - see 101 at [1] Zanoni (talk) 22:17, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

The article 2009–10 Lancashire Senior Cup has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

Proposed deletion of Craig Garside

Hello. Just to let you know I removed the prod on Craig Garside on procedural grounds. The article was prodded once before, so is no longer eligible. Please feel free to take it to AfD. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:52, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

OK - thanks for letting me know - I missed that PROD. I've started a discussion at Project Football as I don't want to AfD if there's any consensus around the UEFA preliminary match. Zanoni (talk) 11:36, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Can you explain where the consensus was reached to justify the edit summary on some of your recent edits: "(please don't list players unless they are themselves notable. As footballers that would probably require promotion to a professional league)"? Thanks. -- Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 11:35, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

I agree - notability guidelines only refer to individual articles, not rosters posted on team articles. —BETTIA— talk 13:24, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Thirded, we have never removed squad lists from non-league teams just because the players aren't notable. Out of date/fake/unreferenced - yes. GiantSnowman 14:27, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Fair enough -i personally don't see notability for individual players at the real lower league. Many of the lists i removed where out of date/incomplete and in a small number so cases. I am happy to restore those who are not Zanoni (talk) 15:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
I've reverted edits where appropriate. There are still some where the edit will read "please don't list players unless they are themselves notable. As footballers that would probably require promotion to a professional league" but these will apply to squad lists deleted because they are hopelessly out of date (and show so) - i.e. from 2009/10 season. Zanoni (talk) 09:39, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
That's a valid point, but I don't think it means they should be deleted outright though. I've suggested a drive at WT:FOOTY to get non-league squad lists up to date when next season begins. —BETTIA— talk 15:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Yep, the drive sounds like a good idea to me. GiantSnowman 22:29, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Glentoran F.C.

I reverted your addition of the Ulster Banner to the above article as by birthright those players are eligible to also play for the ROI and per MOSFLAG we don't use flags to indicate the birth place of anyone. Mo ainm~Talk 22:24, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

I'm not fussed really, but some of them have represented Northern Ireland at youth and B international level.Zanoni (talk) 22:29, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
But so did Darren Gibson until they have played a full international they can switch, a flag shouldn't be used but not fussed myself if there are sources to show they have played youth internationals I would tend to leave them on the page myself. Mo ainm~Talk 22:37, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Football transfers

Please note that football transfers currently being announced do not take affect until the transfer window opens on 1 July. Please do not modify current squad sections of club articles to reflect these transfers until then. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:35, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Romelu Lukaku

If this sort of petty editing continues then I would suggest you go for page protection again. It had been protected for two weeks prior to yesterday because of me and as soon as it expires, the brown stuff hits the proverbial fan. I can't understand how protection wasn't extended. It'll carry on all summer if left as it is. Argyle 4 Lifetalk 11:49, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

I've gone ahead and requested indefinite semi-protection because I had to remove the usual nonsense three times in the space of ten minutes. I knew what to expect when I added this fellow to my watchlist but it's still ridiculous. Argyle 4 Lifetalk 14:54, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Hopefully this time it will be approved! Zanoni (talk) 15:15, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
I would say that three months of protection is a good result. Couldn't have asked for better really since it expires after the transfer window closes. Argyle 4 Lifetalk 17:35, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Whoops!

Liverpool F.C. wiki

Hello, I am the lead sysop on the Liverpool F.C. wiki. It is a wiki dedicated solely to Liverpool F.C.. We aim to make the ultimate database for the club we all love. Since adopting the incredibly inactive wiki about a month ago we have greatly increased the article count and modernized it from it's previous state. The problem is there are not many active members on the site and we need more for the site to properly grow. It is well organized and on it's way to be a great site we just need more editors to expand. It is based on Wikia's network of wikis. Like Wikipedia it is free to use and the editing process is exactly the same. If you know how to edit Wikipedia you will know how to edit the Liverpool F.C. wiki. Now for the question you may be asking yourself. Why edit there? Wikipedia has articles on Liverpool. This is true. At the Liverpool wiki it is all about Liverpool. We allow editors to edit anything about Liverpool no matter how trivial. We allow edits on reserve and academy players, and even things as trivial as the fitness coaches for the year 2011. We also do not lock pages to registered users. That means if you have something to say about Steven Gerrard you can click edit and not view source and actually write something. I would love for you to come by and check the wiki out. Feel free to edit any page. Every time you click edit your ARE helping this wiki grow. Thanks for taking the time to read this! http://liverpoolfc.wikia.com/wiki/Liverpool_FC_Wiki--Coffeeclub213 (talk) 00:12, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Main page appearance: Liverpool F.C.

This is a note to let the main editors of Liverpool F.C. know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on March 15, 2012. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/March 15, 2012. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:

The Shankly Gates at Anfield

Liverpool Football Club is an English Premier League football club based in Liverpool. It has played at its home ground, Anfield, since its founding in 1892. The club has won eighteen League titles, the second most in English football, as well as seven FA Cups and a record eight League Cups. It has also won more European titles than any other English club, with five European Cups, three UEFA Cups and three Super Cups. The most successful period in Liverpool's history was the 1970s and 1980s, when the club won numerous honours both domestically and in Europe. The club's supporters have been involved in two major tragedies: the first was the Heysel Stadium disaster in 1985, in which charging Liverpool fans caused a wall to collapse, killing 39 Juventus supporters. In the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, 96 Liverpool supporters died in a crush against perimeter fencing. Liverpool have long-standing rivalries with city neighbours Everton and with Manchester United. The team has played in an all-red home strip since 1964, and its anthem is "You'll Never Walk Alone". (more...)

A tag has been placed on Paul Brown (footballer born 1991), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Darlington

Hello. Was wondering if you could point me to the source for your removing Darlington from John McReady's article, and for removing McReady (and Phil Gray) from the squad lists? McReady and Phil Gray were contracted for next year (the only two who were), DFC1883 were required to honour those contracts, and assuming DFC1883 were still paying them, they should still be under contract. Has the situation changed? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:46, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, assumed they all were released with the new players being signed. I have re-added them to the squad template and main page. I'd had a quick look at the Darlington main website and given there had been no news since the end of the season I assumed all the players from the old team. 10:01, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
No problem. For obvious reasons it isn't easy keeping up with the current state of play, and for all I know, messrs Gray and/or McReady might have found alternative employment by now. There is no official website at the moment, though they're working on setting one up. DFC1883 are answering queries at the Darlo Uncovered forum, and the Northern Echo is good for definite news, but in the club's current circumstances there isn't an awful lot of really definite news. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:41, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Re the category you're adding: the club's called just Darlington 1883, not Darlington 1883 F.C. The category should be named similarly. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 13:30, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

An article meets GNG if it has "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" - it has nothing to do with professional appearances. Basic stuff. GiantSnowman 21:06, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Copy & paste move

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Conwy United F.C. a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Conwy Borough F.C.. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. What I have a prob with is, for example, the para that begins "Despite Israel...". Would you care to revisit the page, or shall I just go ahead and make the necessary syntactical upgrade? I have made some changes already, so you can see what I think needs improving.

Btw - 30k edits? Major kudos :) MarkDask 19:40, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

The current Welsh Premier League page for the club and Rhyl F.C.'s squad list both show that this player is no longer at the club and in the 2016/17 squad. The reality is that not every player you can find a sourced update that they have left clubs - in particular in non-league and in the WPL. That said I have added one now for this player from the club's twitter account. Zanoni (talk) 20:17, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:57, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Changes to my wiki

Hi I’m Dominic McHale, you’ve recently sent me a message regarding my changes to Wikipedia. I am the player and the content that was up on my Wikipedia is incorrect so I corrected it. Please do not change or add information to my wiki without asking me if certain things are correct. Please change it back to the recent corrections.

Thankyou.

Dominic McHale. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:A1D0:3E00:69E1:6803:1B8D:1576 (talk) 09:25, 10 April 2019 (UTC) m

It doesn't work that way I'm afraid. Even if you are the player (and that is a claim rather than a fact) the content you removed was sourced and had references - which were included in the article. For example, I have now added an additional reference today around the player being sent off in a 22 man fight whilst at Ramsbottom to the article (also see Match Report for League match vs Buxton), and there's other evidence of Ramsbottom appaearances like Workington 4-0 Ramsbottom, League Match Report vs Hyde, League Match vs Rushall
The other clubs you removed also have details of the player registrations with references. May well be that the player concerned never played for these clubs, but again, the following Match report St Helens Town vs Northwich Manchester Villa suggest that is not the case.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Wakefield F.C., you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Phoenix club (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Welsh Domestic Football

Thank you on your contributions on bringing Welsh football up to date. Back in February I noticed that a lot of teams, leagues, etc... had been neglected over the years. I'm also to blame for that as I went hiatus for a few years but in February when I saw the state of neglect I started to update stuff here and there as I've always wanted to get the Welsh football to at least the levels in England and Scotland. You are doing a good job and I hope we can work together on bringing Welsh football here to the level it should be. Many thanks, Onshore (talk) 21:36, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

No problems User:Onshore - have added a few more new articles this evening and working on a few more - see my userpage for details, so we don't crossover. Most leagues should now be up to date with at least 18-19 club lists and updating to 19-20 as the leagues confirm. I am trying to sort out pages for any club who has played in the WFL that are missing and will work on these over the next few months. Zanoni (talk) 19:45, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
Thanks User:Zanoni I appreciate what you have done and continue to do. I'm planning on adding seasons to all leagues. I have this book that lists all FA Cup results for every team from 1871 to 1993 (I think). I'm glad we're both on the same page. I'd like to expand one day with reserves as an example. Welsh Alliance League use to include reserves before the division split in 2010 with Division 1 and 2. Currently I'm working on via my sandbox Bangor City's 2018–19 season with stats. Something I would like to add to at least Welsh Premier League clubs in the near future. In the Draft:2019–20 Welsh Premier League I have changed stadium location into a border of grounds across the welsh map that SPL uses and Premier League Bosnia. It only works for a league with 12 teams. Thanks on that, I will look at your userpage first. Thanks :-) Onshore (talk) 22:07, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
Question for you User:Onshore - on the [2] we have the Caernarfon & District League listed at Tier 6. Is this link now defunct? - I cannot find a league website - this suggests they were having "a year off" in 2014 [3] and this also suggests 2013-14 was the last season [4] - If so do you want to amend the pyramid? Zanoni (talk) 07:48, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
User:Zanoni Thank you for your question, I believe you are correct the league case to exist in the 2013–14 season as this link https://welshfootballstatistician.weebly.com/caernarfon--district-league-201314.html clearly indicates that the remaining teams at the end of that season were transferred to the Gwynedd League. Feel free on amending the pyramid. Kind regards Onshore (talk) 16:31, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
User:Onshore - thanks a lot - now done Zanoni (talk) 06:50, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
User:Zanoni - You're welcome Onshore (talk) 23:26, 3 July 2019 (UTC)

User:Zanoni I thought this might be of interest and one to look out for, Bangor City to appeal against points deduction at Court of Arbitration for Sport – BBC Sport Onshore (talk) 23:26, 3 July 2019 (UTC)

Thanks User:Onshore - will keep an eye out. I'd say I am surprised they are appealing but given the mess of that club at the moment, not surprised at all! Zanoni (talk) 06:52, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
Thanks User:Onshore - Bangor could yet be relegated to Tier 3 - the club appealed but the FAW have now charged them with an additional offence in relation to player 'A' the one they have already had the 21 point deduction for in relation to 7 games @3 points each. if they got another 3 points for this offence (as relates to a CA game) they would go down [5] Zanoni (talk) 11:00, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
Thanks on the update User:Zanoni - Looks like they have shot themselves in the foot but I'm not surprised as they have tried to challenge the FAW on every hurdle. They even challenged the FAW on the demotion from the Welsh Premier League at the end of the 2017–18 season and were taking legal action before backing down a few weeks later. I guess they will do the same this time. It's going to be interesting if they will be relegated though with the fixture lists already published. I think Bangor City should have taken the 21 point deduction on the chin and moved on. Onshore (talk) 22:06, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
User:Onshore - its a start, but to let you know that every existing league in the Welsh pyramid now has a page. All are up to date with at least 2018–19 clubs and will be updated with 2019-20 as they are confirmed. Many need expanding with previous winners etc but information is patchy to say the least. I am also trying to create articles for sides that have in the past played in the South Walian Welsh Football League. All articles for leagues are linked to their league website with the exception of the Gwent Central League where I cannot find one. Any ideas? Zanoni (talk) 12:42, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you User:Zanoni You've done an awesome job. Apologies that I have lacked contacted recently, personal life has contradicted my path but I'm here if it's early in the morning, which I should be well suited to as I was born 4.15 am GMT, lol! Anyways, I will be releasing my 2019–20 North Wales League seasons pages tomorrow. No time set yet but by 14:30 BST. Would you mind if I asked you to join or if already a user, head to twitter so we can have a good chat my username is @ifanwynroberts :-) Anyways, thank you User:Zanoni I know others won't respect what you've done but I here to say thank you Onshore (talk) 03:34, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
Actually have a few more tweaks to do so will add the North Wales seasons in later Onshore (talk) 13:30, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
User:Zanoni I have tried to look for an official site for Gwent Central League but the one they had seems to have been made redundant since 2013. They have a facebook page but the last post on that was in 2017 with a link to All Wales Sport. I can appreciate that as you go down the Welsh Football Pyramid its going to get tougher on getting the information. I find looking for regional weekly newspapers, where there seems to be a few online can be a good source of information. However, it can be tedious. Onshore (talk) 21:13, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
In other news, Bangor City have won their appeal in Birmingham on Friday 16 August against FAW. From Bangor City's official statement it looks like the points deduction that was imposed on them has been revoked. So am I right in thinking they finished the Cymru Alliance 4th on 51 points? Onshore (talk) 21:13, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
I'd have thought so - I did think of amending the positions again on Friday night Zanoni (talk) 06:20, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
I don't mind amending if you don't mind? Onshore (talk) 12:05, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
Feel free! - think there are around 9 clubs which will need amending Zanoni (talk) 15:10, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, I have now amended all clubs affected and the 2018–19 Cymru Alliance league table. What a merry-go-round the last few months have been. Onshore (talk) 18:39, 20 August 2019 (UTC)

The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. Join us in this global edit-a-thon, by helping to create or expand articles which are connected to this scope. Also remember to list your name under the participants section.

Cardiff City

Hi, I noticed you added the South Wales FA Senior Cup to the honours section. Are we sure that these were senior sides playing rather than reserves? There's no statistical record of Cardiff's first team playing in the competition and the reserve side were competing in the Welsh Leagues at the time which would make more sense. Also, Barry Town don't include the fixtures in their archive, cheers. Kosack (talk) 12:24, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

I'd imagine it was the reserves rather than the first team given it's the local FA association - but to be honest don't know - I just added from the sourced FA handbook for 2019–20. Zanoni (talk) 12:46, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
Ok, typically reserve team honours would not be included in the main club article so I've moved them to the club records page for now, cheers. Kosack (talk) 13:48, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Any reason why you removed sourced content (the Guiseley appearance) with no explanation? GiantSnowman 11:30, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

Move is sourced on the top line next to Gainsborough where it shows he moved from Ashton to Gainsborough - if you want to add the appearance feel free but made an assumption that he may have played more than once so may not be accrurate Zanoni (talk) 11:34, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- GiantSnowman - this actually suggests he joined on dual registration terms from Guiseley - so not sure where the Ashton United move comes in? - I've had a quick search and can't seem to find anything re Ashton. Any ideas? Zanoni (talk) 14:52, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

Frank Donovan (footballer)

Please stop adding poorly written and (more importantly) poorly sourced information to this article. GiantSnowman 09:54, 15 November 2019 (UTC)

Charming as ever! - apologies I forgot to add the source to this one - although was added to all my other edits from the same source. I admit to not being perfect - a human trait. I'll add now 11:00, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
You also removed the manager details from the infobox and removed the formatting to the reference...now fixed. GiantSnowman 15:27, 15 November 2019 (UTC)

Copyright problem on William Hudson (footballer)

Yes, perhaps that wasn't disguised anywhere near enough. Thanks for the heads-up and edit. Zanoni (talk) 15:57, 15 November 2019 (UTC)

Sorry for the mistake

Hello. At DI2020, we use the simple-cite format when sourcing (<ref>[URL, title]</ref>). Please adjust your entries accordingly. Thank you. Wyliepedia @ 14:06, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Ah apologies, didn't know that, will amend.Zanoni (talk) 14:08, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
We also NEVER use social media such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. And that's by editorial consensus. So unfortunately your entry today at Deaths in 2020 was removed. Please revisit when a reliable source becomes available - I also know that myself and the other regular editors will be looking out for one so that the entry can be re-established. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 15:17, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
Another update too - the language template {{XX icon}}, such as {{fr icon}}, has been deprecated by the relevant template editors, meaning it should not be used. The template for e.g. the French language has been set to {{in lang|fr}}, and a bot goes round all the pages changing all the language templates to that form. Thanks.
