Welcome[edit]

Hello, Zacharyhbennett and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Jauerbackdude?/dude. 13:57, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Plan de Ayutla[edit]

Go for it! Improving the article on the Plan of Ayutla is an excellent project. I don't plan on editing it again before your April deadline. Amuseclio (talk) 19:12, 12 March 2017 (UTC)Amuseclio[reply]

Plan de Ayutla[edit]

The current version of the article needs help, so it is good you are planning on editing it. I presume you are drawing on Richard A. Jordan's The Mexican Revolution of Ayutla (1939). From what Herbert I. Priestley says in his Hispanic American Historical Review assessment (HAHR Vol 19, no. 4 Nov. 1939) of the work, it is not scintillating reading, but it is likely a key source for you to improve the Wiki article. Questions about my article[edit]

-Are there any parts of Mexican history that are underdeveloped or not discussed enough?

-Are there any demographic groups whose historical contributions are not discussed enough?

-Do I have enough sources, and where should I turn to to get sources that will improve my work?

-Do I exhibit any bias when discussing the historical figures involved?

Note that the bolded text was posted by other editors, and the non-bolded text is my original ideas. I added both so that I could create a coherent flow. Keep in mind that I ran out of time while turning my notes into sentences, so the final article will be about twice as long as the current rough draft.
