Talk Page[edit]

This is Woeing's talkpage. If you have a message for me, this would be the best place to post it. All vandalism posted here will be reverted, and you will automatically be reported (if you have previous warnings, of course...). Thanks! Woeing (talk) 04:36, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

AIV[edit]

Woeing, thanks for your contributions. A note or two, if you don't mind. First, AnneMorgan88 is not a vandalism-only account, and I wish you had taken the time to address whatever problem you had with their edits on their talk page. I note that you did not leave an edit summary--such a curt revert is unhelpful, and violates WP:BITE, for instance. Reporting them to AIV is over the top, and Materialscientist wisely removed your report (and another) from AIV as unactionable. Materialscientist is a nice person, and they could easily have read you the riot act about making unnecessary reports. My issue is rather with your treatment of a new editor: please don't do that again. Finally, it does not behoove you to remove a report about you, just as it didn't behoove AnneMorgan88 to remove a report about them. Leave that to the admins.

You've been here for a few dozen edits. I don't know what your track record is at AIV; the very first one you reported was turned down, and this edit makes me wonder how someone's first edit can a. demonstrate they know where to report vandalism; b. demonstrate mastery of templates; c. suggest they know such things as socking and how to recognize it. If, as I suspect, you've been here before, you should really try to be more discerning in who you report: of the four or five reports I looked at, only one editor was blocked. So please be more careful. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 05:08, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Taokaka, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
