Hi, William. Regarding your post on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, I've removed the entry because in order for us to take action on that page, the user has to be repeatedly vandalizing pages and has to have been properly warned. (The easiest way to warn the user is to use the "test" templates; you can find these at Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace. You place them on the offending user's talk page.) If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! —Cleared as filed. 15:16, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Cleared as filed. That user was vandalizing. He is doing it from multiple IPs. He was warned with a test3 at User talk:219.90.81.134 and with a test4 at User talk:203.167.9.227. So far, it is thirteen acts of vandalism from this person. William Greene 15:35, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay. It would have been helpful to have those other IPs listed in the report. Even so, looking at the history for Audiophile, it looks like he has a new IP almost every time he edits. Some of the IPs aren't even close to each other. So there probably isn't much we can do except continue to revert the vandalism. We can only block dynamic IPs for 24 hours at most, and it probably wouldn't do anything in this case, since he'd be on a new one before vandalizing again anyway. —Cleared as filed. 16:13, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it is a pity he cannot be banned. Anyway, thanks. --William Greene 20:35, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Edison live vs. recorded music tests[edit]

Regarding your note about the reference: yes, my bad; it does say that Edison challenged audiences to detect the difference. Go ahead and revert if you like.

Incidentally, could you put comments at the bottom of my "talk" page? That's where I look when I get the new message notification. You can use the button thingy marked "+" to do this automagically. +ILike2BeAnonymous 20:11, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
