Article restoration[edit]

Hi! You requested that I restore Carmine Miranda to you, but it looks like this was deleted at AfD by Michig. This means that you need to request restoration from Michig, since they were the deleting admin. I've pinged him to this discussion so he can respond.

However it looks like you've requested that several people restore articles to you, Carmine Miranda from myself, Charlie Horton (footballer) from RHaworth, and Phil America from Hoary. That last one was done via e-mail, so it's possible that you've requested more articles from others. I recommend that you work on these articles one at a time, since it looks like this account is fairly new and it's likely that you're relatively new as well. It's a lot of work to improve an article, but even more so to improve articles that were deleted for a lack of notability or other factors, like promotional content. It'd be in your best behavior to tackle these one at a time rather than request them all at once, as restoration doesn't mean that the article is safe from being deleted again. I also need to let you know that depending on the content, the article won't be restored to the mainspace but rather to your userspace or WP:AfC. Given your limited history on here via this account, I'd recommend that you run the requested articles via the Articles for Creation process since that way you'd have another editor looking over your articles.

I noticed that one of the articles, Carmine Miranda, was written by someone who has a suspected conflict of interest (ie, that they were a paid editor). Because of this, I have to warn you: if you have a conflict of interest and were asked to look into getting these articles back on to Wikipedia, you must disclose this on your userpage. This is not optional and while I don't want this to scare you, I'd be remiss if I didn't warn you that if it's suspected that you had a conflict of interest and didn't disclose it, then you might be blocked. If you previously edited under another username then it's sometimes a good idea to disclose that as well, along with the reason you're editing under a new name. (IE, that you lost the password and so on, which does happen.)

Also, I'd recommend that you go through one of the training programs, either at WP:TRAINING or WP:ADVENTURE. The latter is more interactive, which could be more helpful depending on how you learn. I hope that none of this scares you away - just that I wanted to make sure that you were aware of all of this before requesting any more articles. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:18, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tokyogirl79 I guess I have requested one too many articles. I didn't realize the implication of working on these pages. I'll check out the training programs you suggested. Thanks for that. And let's leave out the Carmine Mirand article.

So, i'll appreciate just the Phil America and the Charlie Horton (footballer) article for me to work on. I have researched on the details for the Charlie Horton (footballer) page and would love to get it done and the Phil America page, I have all I need for it as well and would get that done this week. Still love the privilege of contributing to wikipedia and making sure the articles submitted here are accurate and well researched. Thanks for your observations and input. • Phil America was deleted by Randykitty via an AfD, so he'd have to be the one that really gives his OK on that end. There's sort of a specific way that articles have to be restored, with the main thing being that you have to check with the deleting admin first. Since he salted the article to prevent recreation, it's especially important to make sure that he gives his OK just in case. He might be OK with restoring it as long as it's to AfC or to your userspace. (I'd recommend AfC.) Charlie Horton I can restore since it was a PROD. I'm going to move that to the draftspace and tag it as an AfC submission, since leaving it live runs the risk of it getting nominated for AfD and you'll likely need more time than that to work on it. You can find it at Draft:Charlie Horton (footballer). I'd probably recommend getting someone from WP:FOOTY to take a look at it before requesting it get moved to the mainspace, since Horton plays football. • Oh wow - the expansion on Charlie Hornton is really, REALLY impressive! I don't know much about NFOOTY so I can't make any judgement calls on it, but offhand it looks like he should pass notability guidelines. I'll drop a note on FOOTY and ask if they can check it and make it live if he passes. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:52, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have restored the Carmine Miranda article for you to work on at User:Wikielite360/Carmine Miranda. If you decide you can't do enough with it please let me know. Regards. --Michig (talk) 17:13, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apart from that, I love working on pages and see them come live. I guess I am not yet perfect in executing those edits. But I believe i keep getting better. I am going through the suggestions Toke sent. Becoming better day by day.

Conflict of interest, WP:PAID[edit]

Hi Wikielite360, I work on conflict of interest issues in Wikipedia, along with my regular editing. You were warned very clearly above, here, that if you are editing for pay you must disclose that.

It is very obvious from your contribs that you are editing for pay.

Please reply here and start disclosing. If you don't, I will seek to have you indefinitely blocked from editing. There is a place for paid editors in Wikipedia, but you must follow the WP:PAID policy and disclose, and you must work with the community on the COI management process. Please reply here, just below this message. I recommend you stop editing until you have fully worked through the disclosure process and understand how conflicts of interest are managed in Wikipedia. Thanks for replying! Would you please reconsider your answer? It is pretty clear that you have worked on other articles for pay as well. As I wrote above there is a place for paid editing in Wikipedia but you need to fully comply with PAID. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards Jytdog (talk) 07:11, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
