May 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Ramdev. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Kapalabhati, did not appear constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please respond[edit]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons. Thank you. --Hipal (talk) 15:07, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Hipal (talk) 15:49, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Courtesy notice - sanctions for biographical articles[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Khatri[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at khatri, you may be blocked from editing. LukeEmily (talk) 05:28, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you blank out a large number of academic sources again as you have been doing on Khatri (I checked your history of removing academic sources), I will be reporting you for sanctions tomorrow. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place for caste promotion. Please use the talk page to discuss. LukeEmily (talk) 07:08, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Its ok if you believe in a caste less society. Please control your biases against the Khatri caste and your constant attempts to denote and belittle the upper castes of India. Please stop your disruptive editing. Remember the page you are editing represents living people. Wikieditor1008 (talk) 07:57, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop your original research about the Khatris and please learn to follow the wikipedia rules about the lede section. You do not need to give over due attention to khatris doing low status jobs to misrepresent the Khatris. Only include the main theme of the page in the lede section.

Stop writing on my wall page please. You are being unreasonable Wikieditor1008 (talk) 08:08, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi , I will not write more after this message but please allow me to respond to your allegations. I edit both upper and so called lower castes. To be frank, my sympathy is wit the upper castes in India as the lives and careers of these children are being affected negatively due to reservation - which does not make any sense to me. I am not against or for any caste , creed , race, etc. Please do not make such false assumptions. My edits to wikipedia are quite mechanical - if the source is WP:RS and is relevant to a caste page, I add it. You are right, it is represents living people and empathy is important. There is no doubt that the current Punjabi Khatri community is really progressive, elite and they have produced great notables too. This is represented there in the post-Independence section. My intent is only to write about the ancestry and the past based on historical facts. But I will try my best to be as sensitive as possible and use WP:NPOV. If you do not like any new additions, please feel to discuss it on the talk page and we can put it in the most non-offenstive way possible without changing the meaning or remove it. I do not think weaving and dealing in silk is offensive. It required a lot of skill. I also have some positive points to add about Khatris. ThanksLukeEmily (talk) 00:49, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikieditor1008, given the stuff in this and preceding sections, and given your comment today at Talk:Ror, I think you need to slow down. Please can you read the information at WP:V, WP:BLP and WP:OR before making further edits anywhere on this project - it's for your own good because you are teetering on the edge of being blocked or at least banned from all topics related to India. - Sitush (talk) 16:59, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

General sanctions notification[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has enacted a more stringent set of rules. Any administrator may impose sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
