Greetings. I have read the restrictions on what is termed original research. My changes to this site is based on the only published and documented biographical work available. Much of the biographical material presently on this page is not only incorrect but is not attributable to the sources claimed. This page essentially contains little factual biographical data and perhaps is why so many argue over the authenticity of this on-line source. WhitHist (talk) 05:17, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for being concerned about the content of the article. We are concerned about that as well... and though I do not speak for my fellow editors, I at least am equally concerned about the reliability of what is included. I must point out that a juvenile biography of Malone was published by Acorn Books some years ago, so yours is not the only documented work. Admittedly it is an apples:oranges comparison as it was meant for a younger audience but went through a traditional publisher... Tell us:
  • What is incorrect?
  • What is improperly footnoted?
  • What "factual biographical data" is missing? Do you mean vital, sacramental, or business records? If so, please know that Wikipedia does not rely on primary sources for articles. If you are referring to recent edits to the article... If memory serves, recent arguments are related to the date of birth, for which I have started a discussion section on the article's talk page; information regarding one of the marriages; and answering the question of whether Malone was the first self-made female millionaire in the United States, which, to my knowledge, no one can resolve at this time.
Another user and I have made significant edits in the past weeks to improve and protect the article from the scrutiny its subject is receiving since the release of Self-Made. If something is wrong, say it and prove it so it can be made right. DiamondRemley39 (talk) 13:20, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
