Contributions to J. Andre Smith‎[edit]

Hi Warehall! Thank you for adding information to the J. Andre Smith‎ article. However, without WP:Footnotes indicating where your information comes from, its nearly impossible for readers to be able to WP:Verify the information that you add. Please make sure to add citations in ref tags (for example <ref>CITATION INFORMATION</ref> ) after each sentence that you have added! Thanks much, and if you need any help, let me know, Sadads (talk) 18:05, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, it would be great if you did the same thing for both Herman Armour Webster and Louis Conrad Rosenberg. The Help:Footnotes help guide is very useful for helping compose such citations, Sadads (talk) 18:08, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

May 2022[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Warren B. Davis, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Because of the weakness in citing sources, I cannot salvage the text, since I don't know which sources to attribute—although it looks like it pulls heavily from a single source.C.Fred (talk) 20:00, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have reverted your edit again. The tone is not acceptable for an encyclopedia, the referencing is unacceptable, and it would require more work to salvage than to start back from where we were. —C.Fred (talk) 03:00, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    C. Fred: Many thanks for the update - I'm not clear as to specific problems but am eager to correct. By way of BG, I've collected davis prints (and others) for quite some time and am simply trying to give him better visibility. I just deleted some of what I assumed was undesired opinionating and understand the goal of being factual and credible - and I guess I don't have a good take on referencing yet either. At any rate, whatever feedback you're to give will be gratefully received.
