A Symbol of Mary[edit]
The symbol should actually be a heart encircled by a crown of flowers with a sword through it. It symbolizes the "Immaculate Heart of Mary" and the sword relates to Simeon's prophesy about her soul being pierced "that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."
